In 2026, competitive funding totalling €2,000,000 will again be available from the strategy fund for the future-oriented development of studies and teaching for a maximum period of 36 months.
For the first time, the funding line for 2026 will be divided into a module-specific and a degree programme-specific funding line, which will be adapted and refined in line with the possible objectives. This is intended to take particular account of the desire for more structure-oriented funding with a view to complete curricula. In funding line I, Module (Further) Development, (group) projects addressing the conceptual revision or redesign of modular teaching and learning settings can be funded with up to €60,000. In funding line II, Curriculum Development, (group) projects can receive up to €300,000 in funding if they pursue a more open and flexible approach in terms of content and structure, as well as a fundamental redesign of curricula.
Projects that contribute to the following are eligible for funding:
- promoting and challenging the individual potential of our students (diverse study programmes)
- raising their awareness of the need for sustainable development and empower them (sustainability) and/or
- enabling them to acquire digital transformative skills as a cross-cutting qualification anchored in the curriculum in order to strengthen their ability to act in the face of future challenges (digital future-oriented/transformative skills).
The deadline for submitting project outlines is 31 March 2026.
